RHPS40 Code of Conduct

The Rocky Horror Picture show 40th Anniversary Convention has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for harassment of any kind.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, citizenship, pregnancy, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Remember: Cosplay is Not Consent. Keep your hands to yourself. If you would like to take a picture with or of another RHPS fan, always ask first and respect that person's right to say no. When at RHPS40, be respectful, be nice, be cool and be kind to each other.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the convention organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the convention with no refund.

Our policy applies to EVERYONE at the convention. Fans, Vendors, Speakers, Guests, Press, Staff, and Security are all subject to our anti-harassment policy and will be held to the same standards and disciplinary action.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of convention staff immediately. Convention staff can be identified as they'll be wearing white Staff badges. You can also email rhps40@gmail.com throughout the convention.

Convention staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the convention. We value your attendance.

We expect all participants to follow these rules at all convention venues and convention-related social events.
